PRESTATYN CARNIVAL - Saturday, July 24th

Thanks to all who turned out today for the Prestatyn Carnival.
Although we sadly missed more cornet power I feel we gave another good account of ourselves and hope that we may have inspired a youngster or two to come and find us to join.
Sorry about the one or two spots of rain but I feel we look better without coats.
Thanks again.

Coronation Gardens - Monday, July 19th

Thanks to all those who turned out yestaerday (Sunday 18th July)to play at the Coronation gardens for the "Rhyl South West Residents Association" open day. It would appear that our performances were enjoyed by the public there but the main bonus is that we may have attracted three new recruits to the band.

Rhyl Carnival Procession - - Monday, July 5th

Thanks to all of you for turning out yesterday for the Rhylk Carnival. I was a bit disappointed that we were not leading but I think we gave a good performance for the spectators. I was very pleased that we seem to have now got rid of the calling for the changes of music etc - a lot more professional - so we will keep this method for all other parades.

I agree. I think we played well despite the wind. Obviously our round the houses practices are having an effect :-)

Well done everyone. I like the not calling out of the next tunes. It does seem more professional and also for me is far less anxiety provoking cos you know what your playing next.

PLAYING AT THE FFRITH - Sunday, June 13th

Thank to you all for turning out yesterday (Saturday 12th June) to play at the fun day for the Denbighshire Learning Difficulties Forum at Ffrith Beach.
I was a little dubious about how we would sound after practises over the last couple of weeks but you raised your game yet again to give a very creditable performance which was enjoyed by everyone. One gentleman asked me to pass on his congratulations to you all and said what a pleasure it was to sit and listen to good music played very well.
Thanks again.

I agree. Everyone played really well and I must say it really is much more fun playing in a group that sounds good.

Well done everyone. Effort does go a long way

Llandudno Prom- Wednesday 2nd June - Thursday, June 3rd

Thanks to all those who turned out yesterday to support the Prestatyn & Rhyl Lions Awareness Day.
Such a glorious day. However the performance did show how important it is to have 100% attendance.
Thanks for giving up a day of the half term holiday.

Sorry I wasn't able to go. Not enough hours in the day to do the work I need to get done, so no chance of being able to get time off.

Open Quote Enjoy Moffat, Just don't try to bring any of that Scottish money back over the border as its easier to get chewing gum off the bottom of your shoe than change it down here!!
Have you packed your kilt and bagpipes?
Tebay services on the M6 is a good place to stop and easy to get in and out of with a caravan

Open Quote Well in two days I'm going to Moffat (you have to say that with a Scottish accent).
May not be as exotic but at least I'll understand the lingo and won't have any trouble with the money.
But then again I am a boring old accountant!!!! Close Quote
