  Band 'Winter' Party

  The Band Party will be on Friday 6th January, at Tynewydd Rd Church Hall. Be there for 7pm at the latest! They'll be the usual fun and games all on a Christmas/ winter theme. Prizes for the best Fancy Dressed person and of course the winning team. Keep watching the site for more details or if anyone wants to help (i.e. parents who like to bake/ prepare food etc) then contact me or Jean. Thanx

  • There are more details on the bands face book page and you can click to show your attending. I've nearly got everything sorted for the games. You'll need your brains and a lot of energy. Compete in teams to win snowballs. The team with the most snowballs will be pronounced 2012 party winners. Just a tip about the fancy dress... it will be judged by effort and novelty value. Good luck and see you all there.

  Website update

  The more observant among you will have noticed that the site looks a bit different. I've finally got round to doing an update - so, what's new?

  You can find the most up to date photos, videos and audio in the sidebar on the right along with the natter that was previously there. Just click anywhere on the natter to add your comment. Also, unmoderated comments have a clickable warning triangle on them so that you can hide anything you think is spam until it gets moderated or deleted.

  Adding your band-related photos and videos is now as simple as getting a Flickr or YouTube account and uploading them. Just let me know your flickr or youtube username.

  There's probably some things that I've missed or am still finishing, so if you find anything that doesn't seem to work properly, let my know through the contact form on this site or come and tell me at band.

  REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE 2011

  Thanks to everyone who travelled to Newton Le Willows today for the Remembrance Day parade for the local Sea Cadets.
  Again they were extremely pleased with the job we did for them and have already booked for next year.

  MANCHESTER COMPETITION RESULT

  Do I know a terrific bunch of people?
  You bet I do!!!!
  What a job you lot did yesterday in winning both the Parade Contest and Concert Band Contest in Manchester.
  That means we have won the Concert Band section for the third time in a row and the Parade section for the second year running which is a remarkable achievment considering that we included all our young members this year in the Parade class.
