I recently sent out letters to a couple of local nursing homes offering the band to play for the residents and staff and Dolanog have asked if we can play on Thursday 2nd November 2006 - 6.00pm to 7.00pm
I hope we can do it.
The file of the new arrangement called "Mama's Baby Tango" (but played on my computer!) is now uploaded. For those who haven't seen the sheet music, the tunes are "Cell Block Tango", "If You're Good To Mama" and "Me And My Baby" from the show "Chicago". Instructions for how to listen are in the Audio section. The "S" in front of the title only indicates that it is Senior Band music.
Just a note to let you know that we lost a member last week. Ffion Griffiths, who has been a 'beginner' for a long time now, has decided that she no longer wants to be a member.
This is mainly due to the fact that she probably did not practise at home a lot and so it took her a long time to make significant progress on both the clarinet and xylophone(two instruments she tried) She also has other outside interests which have taken up a lot of time. if any of the instructors feel that a beginner is not making sufficient progress or you know of someone getting 'fed up' can you let me know so that we can try and do something before they leave.

Welcome to the new look Rhyl Youth Marching Band website.
It has a lot of the same things the old site had - Band Diary, Audio files of band music, photos etc - and some new stuff like this main page (which I hope will be updated regularly) and some printable music on the 'Music' page (music on the 'Music' page? Who would've thought it?)
