There will be ***NO*** band practice or beginners classes next SUNDAY (15 June) in honour of Fathers' Day - we have Mothers' Day off, so why shouldn't fathers be entitled to equal rights? Not only that, but several members are away that day and we shall have had a concert on the day before, so a rest is (hopefully) deserved!
It has been proposed that an committee meeting be held on the 18th June. Please let one of the committee members know before then if you would like anything to be discussed.

As you know we will be playing at Tynewydd Road Church fayre on Saturday. The plan is to play 3 slots mixing both Junior and Senior music. Band members get in free, however family members will be charged a small entry fee if they would like refreshments. There should be stalls and things to do including a bouncy castle. Please be at the church ready to play for 2.30pm

Ok, I was really dissapointed with the turn out at the joint main band and junior band rehearsal on Sunday by both junior and main band players. As you know we will be playing a concert on Saturday and this was the only opportunity for main band members to practice the junior band music. What made it worse was that to my knowledge no one contacted the band to let us know that they couldn't come.
There is a recording of the Junior Band music "Hit It!" available in the Audio section, for those of you who would like to know how it ought to sound!
