Sadly I have to tell you that Sherrie has decided to leave the band due mainly to work and study committments. However, two new yound ladies, Amber and Robin came to visit last night and hopefully will decide to join. These two new people are the result of personal recommendation by members so if you know of anyone wisjing to blow their own trumpet etc please tell them about us.
As always, we are constantly on the lookout for new members. The best method of recruitment is by recommendation so if you have any friends that play an instrument or would like to take up an instrument as part of the band then get them to contact me or use the "Website Feedback Form" or invite them along to a rehearsal to see for themselves. We particularly need brass and percussion players.
Go on, have a think, do you know anyone, tell them about us.
Thanks to all those that turned out to play carols and hold collecting boxes last Thursday, and Saturday & Sunday. We did extremely well.
Also thanks for turning out at Ffrith Beach on very wet and cold Saturday and Sunday nights. I think you did nothing but good for our reputation. Thanks again and a merry xmas and a very happy new year.
I hope you all enjoyed the party on Saturday, it seemed everyone had a good time. My thanks must go to Helena for the tremendous job she did in organising the games - quite original don't you think. Also to everyone who made the effort to come in Fancy Dress - you were all terrific. Thanks as well to Jean and Derek in the kitchen who kept us supplied with food and to any one who contributed in any way to the success of the evening.
What did you think of it - let us know.
