  1. Website update

    The more observant among you will have noticed that the site looks a bit different. I've finally got round to doing an update - so, what's new?

    You can find the most up to date photos, videos and audio in the sidebar on the right along with the natter that was previously there. Just click anywhere on the natter to add your comment. Also, unmoderated comments have a clickable warning triangle on them so that you can hide anything you think is spam until it gets moderated or deleted.

    Adding your band-related photos and videos is now as simple as getting a Flickr or YouTube account and uploading them. Just let me know your flickr or youtube username.

    There's probably some things that I've missed or am still finishing, so if you find anything that doesn't seem to work properly, let my know through the contact form on this site or come and tell me at band.

    • Oh yeah, I've added the audio for 'Palladio'. You can find it in the 'Audio' stream on the right or on the repertoire page.

  2. REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE 2011

    Thanks to everyone who travelled to Newton Le Willows today for the Remembrance Day parade for the local Sea Cadets.
    Again they were extremely pleased with the job we did for them and have already booked for next year.

    Nick has uploaded the videos of us playing in Manchester earlier this month to YouTube and I've provided links to them in the Recordings section of the website.
    As previously, older videos have been moved into the recordings archive.

  4. MANCHESTER COMPETITION RESULT

    Do I know a terrific bunch of people?
    You bet I do!!!!
    What a job you lot did yesterday in winning both the Parade Contest and Concert Band Contest in Manchester.
    That means we have won the Concert Band section for the third time in a row and the Parade section for the second year running which is a remarkable achievment considering that we included all our young members this year in the Parade class.
